This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Consistently deliver software within agile, iterative, and continuously improving teams.
• Enhance mastery of software development methodologies and cultivate core technical expertise.
• Produce high-quality, thoroughly tested, and optimized code.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to clarify requirements for new work items.
• Create and manage technical design documents, architecture, and design patterns for projects you oversee.
• Adhere to team coding standards, design patterns, and software development lifecycle practices.
• Identify challenges in technology, tools, and processes, and implement practical improvements.
• Engage in mentoring junior colleagues and disseminating technical knowledge through code reviews and partnerships.
• Report progress via written asynchronous updates, stand-ups, and regular check-ins.
• Estimate project work, recognize risks, and communicate any changes to expectations or requirements.
• Contribute to documentation and facilitate internal knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated on advancements in the field and relay new insights to the team.
• Work independently in a fully remote setting and foster relationships with peers, stakeholders, and counterparts.
• Learn from incidents and feedback, implementing solutions swiftly.
• Proficiency in mid-level software engineering.
• Core technical expertise with the capability to create excellent, well-tested, optimized code.
• Ability to provide constructive, actionable feedback during pull request reviews.
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with product stakeholders for requirement refinement.
• Competence in developing and owning technical design documentation.
• Understanding and application of coding standards, design patterns, and software development lifecycle practices.
• Skill in identifying pain points in technology, tools, and processes, and implementing improvements where applicable.
• Capability to estimate work accurately in familiar areas and recognize and highlight risks in less familiar domains.
• Ability to adjust estimates when new information or changing work conditions impact requirements.
• Experience with automated testing, including unit and integration tests; end-to-end testing when necessary.
• Experience in documentation and internal knowledge sharing.
• Commitment to ongoing research and development of core technical skills.
• Ability to operate autonomously and responsibly in a fully remote environment.
