Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and develop reliable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Create and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to enhance training datasets and aid in the development of next-generation models.

• Take charge of engineering projects from problem identification through to implementation and ongoing improvement.

• Develop high-quality datasets at a petabyte scale and low cost by integrating engineering, infrastructure, and research.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a solid foundation in backend development.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, particularly those involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems is a plus.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially with GCP and Terraform, is a bonus.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is advantageous.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, proactive initiative, and the capacity to work independently in uncertain environments.
