This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.
• Design and implement AI-enhanced functionalities throughout Aline's senior-care product suite, including help document search, onboarding workflows, intelligent notifications, content generation, and conversational interfaces.
• Integrate capabilities from Azure OpenAI and Anthropic Claude into existing .NET services utilizing APIs, SDKs, or agent frameworks.
• Contribute to RAG pipelines using PostgreSQL, pgvector, or Azure AI Search.
• Write and refine prompts, manage context windows, and validate AI responses for production features.
• Assist in constructing multi-step agent workflows utilizing Semantic Kernel, Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.
• Employ orchestration patterns such as planner/executor, tool-calling, human-in-the-loop, and safe fallback chains.
• Develop tool interfaces and APIs that connect agent capabilities to production systems.
• Implement state management, retry logic, and error handling for agent workflows.
• Write clean, testable C#/.NET code that integrates AI capabilities into services and APIs.
• Operate within Azure infrastructure, including Azure App Services and Azure Functions.
• Contribute to GitHub CI/CD pipelines for AI-empowered services.
• Engage in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint ceremonies.
• Create evaluation harnesses, golden test sets, regression suites, and LLM-as-judge pipelines.
• Utilize AI-driven tools within Aline's AI-assisted Development Lifecycle to enhance development speed.
• Implement guardrails, content filtering, and input validation for safe and predictable AI behavior.
• Adhere to multi-tenant data isolation patterns and relevant SOC 2, HIPAA, and data residency guidelines.
• Collaborate across functions with product, QA, and customer-facing teams.
• 4–6 years of experience in software engineering, or a strong recent graduate with demonstrable project, internship, or research experience of equivalent depth.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET, including ASP.NET Core, Web API, dependency injection, and asynchronous programming patterns.
• Familiarity with Azure App Services and Azure Functions.
• Experience with LLMs in application code, including Azure OpenAI or Anthropic APIs, prompt management, and structured response parsing.
• Strong foundations in SQL and relational databases, including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of REST API design, JSON serialization, and service-to-service integration patterns.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Comfort in Agile/Scrum team environments.
• Preferred: experience with Semantic Kernel, Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar agent orchestration frameworks.
• Preferred: familiarity with RAG architecture, embedding models, vector search, chunking strategies, and reranking techniques.
• Preferred: exposure to MCP or typed tool interfaces for LLM agents.
• Preferred: experience in building AI evaluation and testing pipelines.
• Preferred: familiarity with DataDog, Application Insights, or other observability tools.
• Preferred: understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architecture and data isolation strategies.
• Preferred: awareness of AI safety and compliance issues, including prompt injection mitigation, content filtering, PII handling, and audit logging.
• Preferred: Azure AI certifications AI-102, AI-103, or equivalent demonstrated knowledge.
• Willingness to work across backend services, API layers, and lightweight frontend integration.
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, and customers.
