Software Engineer – Agentic Search Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in discussions regarding your experience in designing, optimizing, and assessing production search systems.

• Elaborate on methodologies for measuring search impact and enhancements.

• Discuss agentic search systems and the associated infrastructure.

• Share specific real-world experiences, including trade-offs and challenges encountered during the development of search systems.

• Participate in a 25-minute conversational interview.

• Have the opportunity to take part in a compensated 30-minute live conversation with the Mercor team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in delivering production search systems, particularly agentic search systems.

• Experience in owning relevance or retrieval for systems utilized by actual users.

• Demonstrated ability to quantify impact and improvements within search systems.

• Background in constructing systems related to agentic search.

• Experience in scaling data infrastructure for contemporary search systems.

• Capability to discuss search quality, evaluation, and trade-offs made in practical systems.

• Completion of a 25-minute conversational interview is mandatory.

• No coding or take-home assignments are required.
