Software Developer, Java, SDD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop backend software using Java

• Apply frameworks from the Spring ecosystem

• Design APIs with an API First approach

• Implement hexagonal architectures, microservices, and event-driven systems

• Work with Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ, and queue systems

• Design and optimize relational and NoSQL databases

• Manage deployments, containers, and CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift, Kubernetes, GitHub, and Spinnaker

• Implement monitoring and observability with Grafana and Dynatrace

• Create unit tests and integration tests

• Apply AI throughout the product lifecycle

• Utilize the Spec Driven Development (SDD) methodology

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in backend development

• Proficient in Java 21 or higher

• Expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Data

• Familiarity with hexagonal architecture and microservices architecture

• API design with an API First approach (OpenAPI / Swagger)

• Knowledge of design patterns, SOLID principles, and Clean Code

• Understanding of Domain Driven Design (DDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD)

• Experience with Apache Kafka and messaging systems like ActiveMQ

• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and queue management, partitioning, consumption, and retries

• Experience with relational databases, such as MariaDB

• Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB

• Skills in query optimization, indexing, scalar functions, tuning, and data modeling

• Familiarity with OpenShift / Kubernetes

• Experience with CI/CD integration and delivery pipelines

• Proficient in GitHub and Spinnaker

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools: Grafana and Dynatrace

• Experience with unit testing and integration testing

• Technical application of AI in development

• Use of AI throughout the entire product lifecycle

• Familiarity with SDD (Spec Driven Development) methodology
