Software Build/Install Engineer – Linux, Windows

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain efficient build and deployment systems to facilitate smooth software delivery.

• Automate workflows and oversee software installations, ensuring the dependability of build pipelines.

• Create scalable build systems that offer ease of use for customers.

• Handle full lifecycle responsibilities to construct robust, scalable build systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in creating large-scale distributed applications.

• Significant expertise in developing multi-tenant SaaS applications.

• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical capabilities with a keen eye for detail.

• Experience with Microservices and Cloud-based architectures/design patterns.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on automation.

• Proficient in build tools like CMake, Make, Gradle, Maven, or similar.

• Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

• Solid knowledge of scripting languages including Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Familiar with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and branching strategies.

• Experience with software packaging and installation tools (e.g., InstallShield, NSIS, or WiX Toolset).

• Strong understanding of operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and macOS.

• Knowledgeable in application deployment using Docker and/or Kubernetes.

• Familiar with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with Java is an advantage.

• Experience with top-tier RDBMS like SQL Server and MySQL is a bonus.
