Software Architect – R&D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance the architectural vision for new products, platforms, and technological initiatives.

• Investigate emerging technologies, perform technical evaluations, and lead Proof of Concept initiatives.

• Design scalable cloud-native, distributed, and hybrid architectures.

• Establish architectural standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines.

• Direct the technical design of intricate enterprise and high-load systems.

• Define technology stacks and architectural principles for new solutions.

• Contribute to innovative solutions utilizing AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, and intelligent automation.

• Identify technical risks and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Assist engineering teams in addressing complex technical challenges and making critical architectural decisions.

• Conduct architecture reviews and technical solution assessments.

• Contribute to technical strategy, product roadmaps, and long-term product evolution.

• Support technology transformation and product modernization initiatives.

• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders on architecture and technology strategy matters.

• Mentor technical leads and senior engineers.

• Help shape engineering culture, development processes, and DevOps practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development, architecture, and the evolution of products, platforms, and enterprise solutions.

• 4+ years in a Software Architect, Enterprise Architect, Engineering Director, or similar architectural position.

• Strong understanding of contemporary architectural patterns, software design principles, and distributed systems.

• Experience in defining architectural vision and influencing strategic technology decisions.

• Experience assessing technologies and architectural methods against business objectives, scalability, TCO, and long-term sustainability.

• Experience leading distributed engineering teams and technical initiatives.

• Experience driving architectural initiatives across products, platforms, or teams.

• Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

• Experience in defining architectural standards and engineering best practices.

• Experience designing cloud-native, distributed, and scalable systems.

• Proficiency with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.

• Experience architecting highly available, resilient, enterprise-grade solutions.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container technologies.

• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and API-first design.

• Strong hands-on software development background.

• Experience with CI/CD, automation, and DevOps.

• Proficiency in modern programming languages, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms.

• End-to-end product and platform delivery experience.

• Practical expertise across pertinent cloud, container, programming, frontend, data, messaging, DevOps, automation, observability, and monitoring technologies.

• Nice to have: practical experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, RAG, or intelligent automation.

• Nice to have: professional certifications in architecture, cloud platforms, or software engineering.
