This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Provide both asynchronous and synchronous instruction in settings that include whole-group, small-group, and individual formats.
• Carry out grading, lesson preparation, and maintain communication with students and families within set timelines.
• Stay informed about K-12 curriculum and possess in-depth knowledge of assigned courses, grades, and subject areas.
• Assess curriculum and implement alternative instructional methods to enhance student comprehension and engagement.
• Assist students and Learning Coaches with learning strategies, assignments, projects, and expectations for courses.
• Aid in the execution of Individualized Education Programs, including necessary accommodations and modifications.
• Regularly communicate with students and Learning Coaches through the Learning Management System, phone, and approved tools.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date student records and data, such as attendance and communication logs.
• Track student progress and collaborate with the Engagement and Counseling Departments.
• Work together in professional learning communities to create Personal Learning Plans, evaluate assessments, review student work, give feedback, and refine teaching strategies.
• Engage in professional development and incorporate new knowledge into instructional practices.
• Foster and sustain a vibrant virtual school community.
• Organize student social events, field trips, and community activities.
• Take part in state assessments, school functions, recruitment events, outreach, and marketing initiatives.
• Be available for occasional evening hours and travel, which may include overnight stays.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned.
• Active Pennsylvania instructional certification relevant to the assigned grade level and subject area.
• Residency in Pennsylvania.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proven student-centered approach, adaptability, and capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to collaborate efficiently as part of a team.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote, technology-oriented environment.
• Willingness to travel for state testing, school events, and outreach activities, which may include overnight stays.
• Availability to work occasional evening hours, as necessary to assist students and families.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, learning management systems, and related technologies.
• Two-step authentication setup is required upon hiring to access school systems.
