Social Media Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +16 more locations.

📋 Description

• Oversee Jerry’s official presence on Reddit, managing brand-owned subreddits and engaging organically within automotive, financial, and consumer communities.

• Develop Jerry’s Reddit voice and create a community engagement playbook.

• Produce high-quality text posts, in-depth guides, and visual content focused on car ownership, insurance savings, and maintenance strategies.

• Handle reputation management and crisis response in discussions involving Jerry.

• Monitor Karma growth, thread sentiment, share of voice, referral traffic, search indexability, and LLM citations.

• Provide Reddit insights, identify emerging pain points for car owners, and highlight trending topics to the Product and Content teams.

• Simplify complex financial topics related to automobiles into engaging content that garners upvotes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in managing organic social or community strategies, particularly focused on Reddit.

• Preferably experienced in consumer tech, fintech, or insurtech, or a proven history of growing various social media accounts.

• In-depth knowledge of karma, subreddit dynamics, automoderators, shadowbans, and the norms of the Reddit platform.

• Capability to write in a natural tone for Reddit users while steering clear of corporate language.

• Familiarity with long-term trust-building and value-driven educational content strategies.

• Knowledge of how Reddit content integrates with Google SGE, LLMs, and organic SEO.

• Proficient in managing pushback, skepticism, and challenging inquiries in public discussions with poise, humor, and transparency.

• Must currently reside in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada.

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada.
