This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee security alerts across various security platforms to identify potential threats.

• Evaluate and investigate alerts, analyze security logs, and differentiate between true positives and false positives.

• Determine incident severity, collect indicators of compromise (IOCs), and document findings from investigations.

• Manage and track security incidents within ServiceNow, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

• Professionally communicate incident updates and recommendations to clients.

• Elevate complex incidents to L3 analysts and the SOC Manager as necessary.

• Assist in containment and remediation efforts.

• Keep precise incident records, shift handover notes, and operational documentation.

• Provide support to customers across the ASEAN region as part of the Managed Security Operations Center.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, SIEM monitoring, incident management, identity security, endpoint protection, and email security.

• Familiarity with Microsoft security technologies, particularly Microsoft Defender, is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of security log analysis, KQL, or PowerShell is advantageous.

• 1–2 years of experience in SOC operations, cybersecurity, or IT operations.

• Experience in a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) setting is beneficial.

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft SC-200, SC-900, CompTIA Security+, or ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity are preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation.

• Capacity to work independently and remain effective under pressure.

• Willingness to work rotating shifts if necessary.
