This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the architecture for the enterprise data platform, covering source-to-target data flows, integration patterns, and analytical models.
• Create, develop, and oversee the Snowflake-based enterprise data repository.
• Establish and uphold data architecture standards and best practices.
• Update and maintain documentation for current and future-state data architecture.
• Lead the ingestion of enterprise data utilizing Fivetran.
• Design and manage dbt transformation layers.
• Ensure the quality, lineage, validation, and consistency of data.
• Enhance pipelines for improved performance and scalability.
• Analyze enterprise data to uncover trends, drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Create analytical models that aid in decision-making.
• Collaborate with business leaders to establish decision-oriented KPIs.
• Support analysis of scenarios and trends.
• Design Power BI dashboards and executive scorecards.
• Facilitate self-service analytics while maintaining governance.
• Implement data governance, stewardship, and thorough documentation.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Information Security teams.
• Enforce role-based access and ensure auditability.
• Serve as the enterprise data authority.
• Transform data into actionable insights.
• Mentor team members.
• A minimum of 8 years in data architecture, engineering, or analytics.
• Practical experience with Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, SQL, and Power BI.
• Experience in building data warehouses from the ground up.
• Background in the financial services industry.
• Snowflake SnowPro Core Certification.
• Certification as a Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) or equivalent experience.
• Preferred experience with Alteryx.
• dbt Analytics Engineering Certification is preferred.
• Snowflake SnowPro Advanced (Architect or Data Engineer) certification preferred.
• Alteryx Designer Core Certification is preferred.
• Preferred certification in cloud data engineering (Azure DP-203, AWS equivalent).
• Preferred certification in data governance or data management (e.g., DAMA-CDMP).
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
• Proficiency in English.
• Capability to sit for extended periods and perform specified physical tasks.
• Specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
