SME Computer User Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver advanced technical assistance for GIS applications, databases, and associated systems.

• Diagnose software, configuration, access, data, and user-related issues.

• Offer technical advice to users and members of the project team.

• Organize technical activities and help ensure that project requirements are fulfilled on time.

• Aid in software upgrades, system modifications, and application rollouts.

• Create user manuals, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation.

• Collaborate with system administrators, developers, analysts, and client stakeholders to resolve problems.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to other support staff as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, GIS, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in providing technical or application support.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in supporting GIS or other enterprise applications.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Capability to meet relevant client access requirements.

• Advanced experience with Esri ArcGIS applications (preferred).

• Experience in supporting GIS databases or enterprise GIS environments (preferred).

• Previous experience as a technical lead or subject matter expert (preferred).

• Experience in creating technical documentation and user procedures (preferred).

• Familiarity with working alongside government or large enterprise customers (preferred).

• Ability to sit or stand for extended durations; proficient in typing and reading from a computer screen.

• Adequate mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling.

• Capacity to walk moderate to long distances when necessary.

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
