This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate Blattner’s Quality Culture to ensure the Quality Program is comprehended, adhered to, enforced, and uniformly implemented across all projects.
• Create, execute, and enhance Inspection Instructions and Test Instructions.
• Mentor, develop, and train Site Quality Coordinators.
• Assist Site Quality Coordinators in the formulation of Quality Control Work Plans.
• Educate and coach Construction personnel on Quality Assurance practices.
• Analyze trends and troubleshoot issues to proactively reduce quality, safety, and waste risks.
• Advocate for adherence to Standard Work Instructions and essential operating procedures.
• Serve as the Quality subject matter expert with the Process Excellence team regarding updates to Standard Work.
• Collaborate with Safety on corporate, electrical, and project-specific safety initiatives.
• Exercise Stop Work Authority in response to quality and/or safety risks.
• Align Quality Control teams with the requirements for inspection and testing.
• Engage in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of Site Quality Coordinators and Quality Control Inspectors.
• Assist in the scheduling and placement of site Quality personnel.
• Relay company-wide quality challenges and issues to project teams.
• Conduct observations of construction and quality activities, taking action on any deviations.
• Support data-driven Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in management, construction management, engineering, quality, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• A minimum of eight years of progressive relevant experience is required.
• Preferred experience in construction quality leadership.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as collaborative abilities at all levels within the organization and with clients.
• Must be able to convey clear and concise messages, including translating technical content when necessary.
• Necessary leadership skills and experience to train and develop Site Quality Coordinators.
• Comprehensive understanding of Standard Work, including Lessons Learned, Work Methods, and Standard Work Instructions.
• In-depth knowledge of Quality Control Inspection Instructions and Test Instructions.
• Thorough understanding of root cause analysis techniques, nonconformance reporting, management, and data reporting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and OEM manuals.
• Capacity to quickly acquire knowledge of renewable energy construction methods, engineering, and equipment and material selection.
• Ability to lead groups of peers and/or subordinates, facilitating conversations, meetings, and presentations.
• Proficient with computer programs (MS Office) and analytical tools.
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
