This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee and uphold the project RFI register until resolution is achieved.
• Evaluate, categorize, draft, coordinate approvals, and escalate RFIs as needed.
• Track RFI progress, due dates, response times, and audit trails.
• Organize multidisciplinary design deliverables, review cycles, and resolution of comments.
• Monitor design risks, unresolved issues, and action items.
• Lead design coordination meetings, managing agendas, documentation, and action items.
• Identify and communicate any bottlenecks in the design process.
• Maintain documentation related to design basis, RFI registers, submittal logs, design issue logs, and lessons learned databases.
• Foster collaboration among stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and client teams.
• Prepare regular program reports detailing RFI metrics, design status, issue resolutions, and project risks.
• Analyze RFI patterns and recurring issues to enhance processes.
• Support RFI management protocols and governance procedures.
• Ensure adherence to documentation standards, approval workflows, and authority boundaries.
• Comply with relevant SOX control responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in project engineering, design management, construction administration, or technical project coordination on large capital projects.
• Proven experience in supporting multidisciplinary design teams throughout design development, construction documentation, and construction phases.
• Strong understanding of RFI, submittal, and design change management processes.
• Experience with design-build, EPC, or traditional delivery methods.
• Proficient in Procore, Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, or similar project collaboration tools.
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
• Preferred: experience in supporting data centers, mission-critical, industrial, or large infrastructure projects.
• Preferred: knowledge of data center design fundamentals, including electrical distribution systems, mechanical cooling systems, building control systems, and reliability and redundancy concepts.
• Preferred: experience working within complex program management and governance environments.
• Preferred: background in commissioning, design validation, or construction quality processes.
