Senior Snowflake Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance Snowflake SQL transformations across staging, curated, and conformed layers.

• Execute the creation of tables, views, and transformation logic based on approved models and source-to-target mappings.

• Establish restartable, testable, and supportable processing that includes auditability and error handling.

• Develop patient/member matching logic, crosswalks, and address exceptions for duplicate, unmatched, or conflicting records.

• Create Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD) Type 2 history, member-month outputs, and current-state models.

• Implement payer attribution across payer/plan, provider networks, primary care providers (PCPs), and clinics while retaining monthly history.

• Reconcile modeled attribution with source rosters, documenting discrepancies and unassigned members.

• Automate checks for row-count, null values, data types, referential integrity, and schema drift.

• Develop audit, balance, and control logging alongside metrics, alerting, and evidence of reconciliation.

• Diagnose defects, maintain technical documentation, and engage in reviews, planning sessions, and client demonstrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics engineering, with a strong focus on recent Snowflake projects.

• Proficient in advanced Snowflake SQL, layered transformations, query optimization, and production troubleshooting.

• Solid experience in implementing dimensional modeling, including facts, dimensions, surrogate keys, and SCD Type 2.

• Familiarity with source-to-target mappings, intricate business rules, incremental processing, and reconciliation.

• Practical experience in conducting data-quality checks, audit/control logging, error handling, Git, testing, and deployment processes.

• Preferred experience in healthcare payer/provider environments, member patient index (MPI), or member identity management.
