This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Coordinate all human and non-human simulation activities.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, test, update, and calibrate audiovisual technology, clinical equipment, simulators, task trainers, and related systems.
• Oversee CAE Learning Space and/or other simulation AV systems.
• Provide pre-briefings and orientations for learners, faculty, and staff.
• Support the safe and appropriate use of specialized simulation equipment and resources.
• Research, recommend, design, implement, evaluate, and refine educational simulation experiences and scenarios.
• Prepare immersive clinical environments using both real and simulated supplies and equipment.
• Set up, program, operate, store, test, and calibrate simulation equipment.
• Portray patients, family members, or other scenario participants as directed.
• Create and apply moulage, special effects, props, realistic simulators, and scenario environments.
• Coordinate access, scheduling, stock control, storage, records, databases, and routine data analysis.
• Facilitate simulation for education, clinical research, quality improvement, and equipment evaluation.
• Travel between Air Methods’ simulation centers approximately 50% of the time.
• High school diploma or GED with three or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree must be obtained within 4 years of hire.
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare simulation operations.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• Prior EMS experience (EMT or Paramedic) is preferred.
• Ability to quickly and independently acquire new technological skills.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently without a structured environment.
• Comfortable working with cadaveric or animal tissue.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience in programming and operating CAE and Gaumard simulators.
• Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist Certification (CHSOS) is required within 2 years of hire.
• Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) is preferred.
• Compliance with Air Methods’ employment practices, policies, industry standards, and regulations is essential.
• Regular scheduled attendance is required.
• Ability to travel between Air Methods’ simulation centers approximately 50% of the time.
