This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Manage all elements related to human and non-human simulation activities.
• Integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate computer and audiovisual technologies.
• Supervise CAE Learning Space along with other simulation audiovisual systems.
• Conduct pre-briefings and orientations for learners, faculty, and staff.
• Ensure safe and appropriate usage of specialized simulation equipment and resources.
• Research, design, implement, and assess educational simulation experiences.
• Provide troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair services for clinical and simulation equipment.
• Organize access, availability, and scheduling of simulation spaces and resources.
• Maintain inventory control, consumables, equipment, records, databases, and documentation.
• Facilitate simulation for education, clinical research, quality improvement, and equipment assessment.
• Set up, program, operate, store, test, and calibrate simulators and task trainers.
• Prepare clinical simulation environments and create lifelike simulators, props, moulage, and special effects.
• Act as patients, family members, or other scenario participants as directed.
• Collaborate with others to develop, evaluate, and refine simulation scenarios.
• Travel to Air Methods’ simulation centers approximately 50% of the time.
• High school diploma or GED, along with three or more years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A bachelor’s degree is required within 4 years of hire; a bachelor’s degree is preferred at the time of hire.
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare simulation operations.
• Fundamental knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prior EMS experience (EMT or Paramedic) is preferred.
• Ability to rapidly and independently acquire new technological skills.
• Strong time management skills and capability to work independently.
• Comfort with cadaveric or animal tissue.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Experience in programming and operating CAE and Gaumard simulators.
• Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist Certification (CHSOS) is required within 2 years of hire.
• Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) is preferred.
• Ability to adhere to Air Methods’ and industry policies, standards, and regulations.
