ServiceNow SecOps, VR Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Configure and improve Vulnerability Response, which includes managing vulnerable items, remediation tasks, vulnerability groups, and remediation target rules.

• Implement and sustain scanner integrations such as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, Microsoft Defender, and CrowdStrike.

• Optimize CI identification and reconciliation processes to enhance CMDB matching and minimize unmatched vulnerabilities.

• Develop assignment logic and grouping rules to direct remediation efforts to the appropriate teams.

• Create workflows for exceptions, deferrals, and false positives with the necessary approvals.

• Assist in configuring Security Incident Response, developing playbooks, and integrating threat intelligence.

• Construct risk scoring, SLA tracking, and executive and operational dashboards utilizing Performance Analytics.

• Collaborate with security analysts, infrastructure owners, and application teams to enhance processes and automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of practical ServiceNow development experience, including a minimum of 2 years in SecOps or Vulnerability Response.

• Strong comprehension of vulnerability management concepts (CVSS, CVEs, patching, risk-based prioritization).

• Familiarity with CMDB, IRE, and CI matching concerning security data.

• Skilled in JavaScript, Glide APIs, and REST integrations.

• Capability to handle sensitive data while adhering to security-first development practices.

• Nice to have: ServiceNow CSA, CAD, CIS-Vulnerability Response, and/or CIS-Security Incident Response certifications.

• Nice to have: Experience in Application Vulnerability Response or Container Vulnerability Response.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of SIEM/SOAR platforms and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

• Nice to have: Security certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or GIAC.
