
Service Engineer β Elevator, Spain β Portugal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
β’ Conduct annual, periodic, and technical assessments of marine elevators
β’ Execute planned, preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance
β’ Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify mechanical, electrical, control, and PLC-related issues
β’ Implement repairs, adjustments, component replacements, modernization efforts, and major overhauls on elevator systems
β’ Undertake extensive field tasks such as traveling cable replacements, wire rope renewals, suspension-related repairs, and associated testing and inspections as required
β’ Remove and install cables, accurately route and secure them, correctly terminate and connect multiple cores, and perform electrical and operational testing
β’ Assist in wire rope renewal activities, including inspection, adjustment, load test preparation, and post-repair verification in accordance with relevant guidelines
β’ Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical blueprints, schematics, manuals, and service documentation
β’ Keep detailed and precise service reports, inspection results, parts utilization records, risk assessments, and customer communication logs
β’ Collaborate closely with Technical, Operations, Project Management, service partners, and vessel crew to facilitate effective job planning and execution
β’ Anticipate technical and operational risks in advance and communicate realistic onsite duration, manpower requirements, and job constraints based on the actual scope and vessel conditions
β’ Adhere to company HSE standards and cease work when conditions are unsafe or when access, tools, manpower, or planning assumptions are inadequate for safe execution
β’ Provide professional support to customers and vessel crew while ensuring service quality and compliance
β’ Carry out additional job-related responsibilities as assigned
β’ Diploma or degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical
β’ Professional or vocational qualification in elevator engineering is a plus
β’ At least 10 years of experience in the elevator industry encompassing service, troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections
β’ Strong command of English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional regional languages is an advantage
β’ Capability to work independently as well as part of a team
β’ Willingness to travel extensively for domestic and international vessel assignments
β’ Flexibility to work outside standard hours based on vessel schedules and port operations
β’ Medically fit for vessel attendance, offshore assignments, and physically demanding tasks
β’ Able to work at heights, in confined machinery spaces, and in challenging port and onboard environments
β’ Valid passport and readiness to travel on short notice
β’ High proficiency in Google Workspace and modern productivity tools
β’ Valid Light Motor Vehicle driving license
β’ Legally entitled to work in the EU (EU/EEA/Swiss nationals or valid work/residence permit)
