Senior/Principal Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain scalable, high-performance frontend applications utilizing React and Next.js.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to create seamless and user-centric experiences.

• Integrate APIs and backend services into frontend applications effectively.

• Engage in architecture discussions, sprint planning, code reviews, and technical decision-making processes.

• Ensure designs are responsive, accessible, and compatible across various browsers.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of engineering processes, frontend standards, and product quality.

• Work closely with backend engineers to guarantee smooth end-to-end functionality.

• Assist in performance optimization and initiatives aimed at enhancing frontend scalability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong emphasis on frontend development.

• Extensive commercial experience with React.

• Familiarity with Next.js or similar modern frontend frameworks.

• Strong skills in TypeScript and JavaScript.

• Experience in integrating APIs into web applications.

• Understanding of backend concepts and relational databases, such as Postgres.

• Knowledge of principles regarding responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently within distributed teams.

• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency or higher.

• Experience with Vue or Angular is a plus.

• Familiarity with Node.js or NestJS is a plus.

• Background in frontend performance optimization and build tools is a plus.

• Experience in creating AI-powered user experiences is a plus.

• Familiarity with integrating AI/LLM services into frontend applications is a plus.

• Knowledge of OpenAI, Anthropic, AI SDKs, or prompt-based applications is a plus.
