Senior Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of frontend development, overseeing the entire process from technical design to implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Create and enhance user-oriented applications for payments, accounts, transactions, and financial workflows.

• Develop reusable UI components and features utilizing Angular, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.

• Convert product and business requirements into technical solutions and frontend implementations.

• Contribute to the frontend architecture, make technical decisions, and establish shared frontend patterns and standards.

• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services.

• Collaborate with Backend Engineers on API contracts and ensure end-to-end functionality.

• Upgrade legacy components while implementing modern frontend solutions when necessary.

• Identify and resolve issues related to performance, reliability, security, and user experience.

• Write well-tested code and engage in code reviews, debugging, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.

• Work closely with Product, UX/UI, QA, and DevOps from the requirements phase through production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in frontend engineering.

• Strong practical experience with modern Angular and React, specifically Angular 16+ and React 17+.

• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.

• Comprehensive understanding of component-based frontend architecture.

• Experience in developing complex interfaces and reusable UI components with Angular, React, and Tailwind CSS.

• Practical knowledge of state management and reactive programming using technologies such as NgRx, Redux, Zustand, RxJS, or similar.

• Experience in integrating frontend applications with REST APIs, as well as authentication and authorization workflows, including OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT.

• Familiarity with unit and integration testing, debugging, performance optimization, Git, CI/CD, and code review practices.

• Capability to confidently work with existing production codebases and enhance them without unnecessary rewrites.

• Ability to take ownership of frontend solutions and make informed technical decisions.

• Strong focus on code quality, security, performance, and user experience.

• Background in fintech, banking, payments, or other regulated environments is a plus.

• Practical experience with back-office systems, admin portals, dashboards, or operational tools is a plus.

• Understanding of frontend security principles, including XSS/CSRF prevention and secure handling of sensitive data is a plus.

• Familiarity with PHP, CodeIgniter, micro-frontends, modular frontend architecture, or design systems is a plus.
