Senior/Principal DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Automate the provisioning, updating, and configuration of bare-metal Linux servers.

• Deploy, scale, and manage numerous Kubernetes clusters across different environments.

• Develop CI/CD and GitOps workflows utilizing Argo CD and Helm for version-controlled deployments.

• Enhance platform security through RBAC, secrets management, Vault, PKI, and OIDC/SAML identity controls.

• Oversee platform monitoring and alerting utilizing Prometheus and Grafana.

• Integrate Bosch and IoT devices enabled by Kubernetes into the central ecosystem.

• Diagnose complex infrastructure issues and promote standards for platform automation.

• Act as a key technical resource for Softeta’s infrastructure team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience in Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.

• Experience in bare-metal server provisioning and operating system deployment.

• Practical expertise in Kubernetes cluster installation, administration, troubleshooting, scaling, and workload management.

• Experience with Git, declarative configuration management, and GitOps methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with Argo CD and Kubernetes-based application deployment.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.

• Familiarity with Docker, containerization, Helm charts, and Kubernetes manifests.

• Experience with Ansible or similar tools for infrastructure automation and configuration management.

• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, logging solutions, and alert mechanisms.

• Understanding of Kubernetes networking, including Services, Ingress, and Network Policies.

• Knowledge of infrastructure and application security, RBAC, secrets management, and principles of least-privilege access.

• Familiarity with PKI, TLS/mTLS, certificate lifecycle management, and cert-manager.

• Understanding of enterprise identity and access management, including OIDC/SAML, SSO, MFA, and service-account security.

• Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault, External Secrets Operator, or similar secrets management solutions.

• Experience with or willingness to engage with Kubernetes-enabled devices and IoT platform integration.

• Familiarity with Azure or AWS.
