Senior/Lead Forward Deployed AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Deploy, set up, and operationalize agentic AI workflows, AI assistants, and AI-driven automations within client ServiceNow and enterprise settings.

• Convert customer needs and processes into technical architectures, implementation strategies, and production-ready AI solutions.

• Integrate Agent Packs, AI accelerators, workflow solutions, enterprise APIs, identity systems, data platforms, and AI services.

• Develop enterprise AI applications and workflows utilizing Claude, the Anthropic API, and other LLM platforms.

• Implement prompt and context engineering, structured outputs, tool utilization, API integrations, orchestration, human-in-the-loop patterns, and RAG.

• Create demos, prototypes, and proof-of-concept implementations; refine based on client feedback and performance metrics.

• Design secure full-stack components, scripts, microservices, automation logic, integration services, and lightweight user interfaces.

• Assess AI quality, reliability, groundedness, safety, latency, cost, and user experience.

• Establish safeguards for sensitive data, permissions, prompt injection, unsafe tool usage, and unintended model behavior.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, optimize, and document implemented AI solutions.

• Contribute reusable components, prompt patterns, evaluation frameworks, playbooks, reference architectures, and product enhancements to NewRocket’s AI platforms.

• Collaborate with consultants, product engineers, data engineers, AI/ML engineers, ServiceNow teams, clients, and the AI Center of Excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, enterprise platforms, workflow automation, or similar technical delivery roles.

• Practical experience in full-stack development, scripting, APIs, microservices, enterprise integrations, or cloud-native applications.

• Experience in building, deploying, or supporting AI/LLM-driven applications, AI-enabled automations, conversational interfaces, RAG systems, or agentic workflows.

• Experience in integrating APIs, enterprise applications, data platforms, or workflow systems in production settings.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or comparable programming and scripting languages.

• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Knowledge of prompt engineering, context windows, token usage, embeddings, vector search, RAG, tool utilization/function calling, structured outputs, and model evaluation.

• Understanding of responsible AI principles, including hallucination mitigation, sensitive-data management, identity and access controls, human oversight, AI safety, and secure AI deployment.

• Background in customer-facing engineering, consulting, technical implementation, solutions architecture, or professional services roles.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize tasks effectively, travel around 25%, and perform in dynamic customer environments.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with the Anthropic API, Claude models, Anthropic Console, Claude Code, or guidance on Anthropic implementation.

• Preferred: participation in Anthropic Academy learning, partner enablement, technical training, or equivalent hands-on Claude deployment experience.

• Preferred: familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP).

• Strong plus: experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, workflow automation, or enterprise platform implementation.

• Preferred: experience with vector databases, embeddings, document ingestion, chunking, retrieval strategies, LLM orchestration frameworks, AI observability, Docker, CI/CD, SQL, Git, infrastructure-as-code, and secure cloud deployment practices.
