This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead the development of narrative content from initial concept to final execution, ensuring a consistent tone and thematic richness throughout the game.

• Create high-quality scripts for key storylines, supplementary content, and dynamic dialogue.

• Develop intricate character biographies, writing samples, and audition materials for voice actors.

• Integrate narrative content and scripts directly into the game engine using Unreal Engine and proprietary narrative tools.

• Engage in playtesting sessions, offering narrative and design insights, while aiding in the refinement of writing processes and workflows.

• Collaborate with design, art, engineering, animation, and audio teams to deliver an exceptional AAA gaming experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional writing experience in games, television, film, or theater.

• 2-3 published works of fiction (video game credits are highly preferred).

• Practical experience with narrative game tools and Unreal Engine, or a willingness to rapidly acquire such skills.

• Proven ability to navigate uncertainty, pinpoint unresolved narrative issues, and take initiative to formulate effective solutions.

• A portfolio that demonstrates high-quality storytelling and the ability to respond constructively to critiques and feedback.

• Writing samples (ideally 2-3) are required for the interview process.

• Professional fluency in both French and English is necessary for candidates based in Quebec.

• English proficiency is required for collaboration with U.S. teams, international partners, and specialized technical documentation.
