This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Fulfill contractual obligations and perform daily activities required by customers related to electrical and mechanical wind turbine equipment.
• Utilize expertise in variable-pitch and variable-speed turbines as well as converter components.
• Interpret, comprehend, and articulate schematics, drawings, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
• Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety protocols, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable-pitch and variable-speed turbines.
• Provide support across all site operations with minimal oversight while ensuring safety standards are met.
• Conduct diagnostic analyses and formulate plans for prompt resolution of issues.
• Record work through computer-based service reporting systems.
• Collaborate with GE’s remote operations center when required.
• Provide mentorship to colleagues.
• Engage and communicate with the Site Lead and Manager to fulfill requirements and timelines.
• Undertake local travel within the hub.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Capability to pass a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Over 4 years of experience in wind troubleshooting, with a minimum of 1 year in an EHS, SQC, or Lead role, or over 5 years of wind troubleshooting experience.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills.
• Must possess and retain a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel as much as 100% of the time.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively and scale towers up to 300 feet on a daily basis.
• Must adhere to manufacturer weight limits, which should not exceed 300 lbs. including necessary gear.
• Capacity and readiness to work in industrial, manufacturing, and power industry environments.
• Ability to prioritize tasks according to contractual commitments.
• Initiative and capability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Flexibility to accommodate rotating shifts and on-call schedules.
• Occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
