Senior Visual Basic Developer, VB6, VBA, VB.NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Oversee, improve, and resolve issues related to Visual Basic systems (VB6, VBA, and/or VB.NET)

• Comprehend intricate business rules and convert them into efficient code

• Analyze production incidents and recommend long-term solutions

• Refactor essential modules to mitigate technical debt

• Define and develop integrations with various systems and databases

• Work collaboratively with product, QA, and infrastructure teams

• Document solutions and advocate for best practices

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Visual Basic Developer (VB6, VBA, and/or VB.NET)

• In-depth knowledge of SQL and data modeling (SQL Server or equivalent)

• Experience managing legacy systems within a corporate setting

• Capacity to analyze existing code and suggest enhancements

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN, or similar)

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with both business and technology stakeholders

• Background in migrating or modernizing VB applications to .NET or other technology stacks

• Understanding of C#, ASP.NET, REST APIs, or system integrations

• Prior experience in high-criticality environments (financial services, industrial, or service sectors)

• Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

• Involvement in database performance-tuning initiatives
