Senior Vended Application Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Administer, configure, and provide support for Zscaler platforms, including ZIA, ZPA, and associated security services.

• Facilitate secure internet access, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), SSL inspection, web security, DNS security, and cloud-based security controls.

• Collaborate with network, security, cloud, identity, and application teams to implement solutions that fulfill business and security requirements.

• Assess business and technical needs and suggest platform capabilities, policies, and configurations.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to user access, application connectivity, traffic forwarding, authentication, policy enforcement, and performance.

• Set up and manage security policies, access controls, application segments, forwarding profiles, and authentication integrations.

• Review, test, and confirm vendor software releases, new features, and service improvements.

• Engage in functional, integration, user acceptance, and post-implementation testing.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.

• Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through automation, APIs, scripting, and process improvements.

• Oversee incidents, service requests, vendor support engagements, and problem investigations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting enterprise security technologies (preferred).

• Experience administering or supporting Zscaler solutions within a large enterprise setting.

• Familiarity with cloud-delivered security platforms, secure web gateways, Zero Trust solutions, or similar technologies.

• Proficient in troubleshooting network connectivity, authentication, DNS, proxy, SSL/TLS, and application access issues.

• Experience working with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Okta, or comparable platforms.

• Practical experience with ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, or other SSE/SASE platforms.

• Strong comprehension of Zero Trust architecture and contemporary enterprise security principles.

• Knowledge of REST APIs, automation, and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Git-based workflows, and CI/CD practices.

• Experience supporting enterprise cloud environments, including AWS and Azure.

• Background investigation is required.

• Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions while working from home.

• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.
