Senior UI/UX Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead the execution of UI/UX initiatives for Ocient’s hyperscale data warehouse platform.

• Design scalable and maintainable front-end systems utilizing TypeScript, React, and Python.

• Leverage AI support and coding agents like Claude throughout architecture, design, development, and workflow processes.

• Establish and uphold coding standards, front-end architecture protocols, and UI/UX best practices.

• Employ Figma to create seamless UI/UX experiences for intricate data platform functionalities.

• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Design teams on requirements, architecture, and product strategy.

• Develop front-end integrations with REST APIs and SQL databases.

• Facilitate code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design meetings.

• Provide mentorship to UI/UX Engineer I and II team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in coding to develop scalable and maintainable user interfaces in a software engineering setting.

• 1+ year of experience using design tools like Figma to create streamlined UI/UX solutions.

• Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, and Python.

• Proven experience in utilizing AI tools and agents to create high-quality designs and software with structured prompts and context files.

• Excellent technical leadership and communication abilities.

• Familiarity with Git for version control and leading collaborative software development processes.

• Experience working with REST APIs and SQL databases from a front-end engineering viewpoint.

• A portfolio showcasing previous work, including code samples that reflect high standards in front-end engineering and design sensibility.

• Candidates must be located in India.

• Candidates are required to have their camera on for the entirety of video interviews.

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline (exceptional candidate qualification).

• Experience with high-performance, distributed systems and databases (exceptional candidate qualification).

• Background in full-stack development, particularly with Java or C++ (exceptional candidate qualification).

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (exceptional candidate qualification).

• Experience in using and creating code components for an enterprise-scale design system (exceptional candidate qualification).

• Experience with Playwright or another UI testing framework (exceptional candidate qualification).
