Senior Trial Attorney – Insurance Defense Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Take charge of a varied civil litigation caseload with moderate to high exposure, from the initial assignment to final resolution.

• Oversee intricate civil litigation cases, managing them from the first notice of loss through to trial or settlement.

• Develop legal strategies and perform targeted legal research.

• Create robust affirmative defenses customized for each claim.

• Lead the discovery process and take key depositions while also defending them.

• Carry out compelling motion practice.

• Represent insured clients in court hearings, pre-trial conferences, mediations, arbitrations, and bench/jury trials.

• Collaborate with claims adjusters and corporate stakeholders for case evaluations and trial preparation sessions.

• Mentor and support less experienced staff and associate attorneys in the practice group.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a license and be admitted to the Bar in Tennessee.

• Maintain an active and good standing license with the Tennessee State Bar.

• Admission to the Georgia Bar is a significant advantage.

• Experience in civil litigation and insurance defense is essential.

• Demonstrated success in trial court or extensive practical experience with high-level motion practice, depositions, and mediations.

• Exceptional courtroom presence, negotiation skills, and oral argument proficiency.

• Ability to simplify complex legal concepts into clear, actionable advice for claims adjusters and insured clients.

• Proficient in legal research platforms such as Lexis and Westlaw.

• Skilled in using case management software.

• Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
