Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community

📋 Description

• Drive demand for BMS cardiovascular medications among suitable patients.

• Interact with healthcare providers through unique customer experiences and scientific discussions that align with product labeling.

• Establish and uphold professional credibility with regional thought leaders, community-based physicians, healthcare providers, office staff, and other patient care stakeholders.

• Collaborate with other BMS departments to provide timely scientific support to customers.

• Promote approved BMS product indications within a designated territory or region, achieving or surpassing sales targets in a compliant manner.

• Communicate the clinical and scientific rationale for product usage in appropriate patient populations.

• Continuously enhance scientific knowledge of assigned products and therapeutic areas.

• Develop and execute comprehensive territory and account strategies.

• Utilize SOPHIA and CE^3 to extract insights and dynamically adjust call plans.

• Provide feedback on tools to leadership for ongoing improvement.

• Present sanctioned scientific information to healthcare providers in their offices, including during lunch-and-learn sessions.

• Organize external speaker programs and manage approved speakers, scheduling, and logistics.

• Maintain a working knowledge of emerging data regarding approved indications.

• Leverage Medical on Call for unsolicited inquiries and complex technical questions.

• Collaborate with other field teams.

• Collect and disseminate customer insights internally to relevant stakeholders.

• Adhere to BMS laws, regulations, and policies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree and/or more than 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry in roles such as healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.

• Proficient in communicating scientific or clinical data accurately and persuasively to physicians.

• Proven experience in building and maintaining credibility with key customers, office personnel, and influence networks.

• Preferred experience in cardiovascular medicine.

• Strong account management skills.

• Exceptional sales abilities and a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives.

• Capability to work effectively across functions.

• Strong promotional skills with a history of performance success.

• Proven ability to drive business outcomes.

• Experience in identifying, engaging, and establishing credibility with customers throughout the patient care continuum.

• Insight into the patient journey and a patient-centered approach.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying scientific and clinical data.

• A strong desire to learn and a passion for science.

• Ability to analyze prescribing trends, market dynamics, healthcare provider preferences, clinical data, and BMS product information.

• Skill in segmenting healthcare providers based on preferences and relevant considerations.

• Proficient in using CE^3 for insights and dynamic call planning.

• Competent in digital communication and technology, including email, instant messaging, and video conferencing.

• Proficient in using CE^3 and other software or CRM tools.

• Ability to utilize Medical on Call technology.

• Strong business acumen with the capability to develop, implement, and modify business plans.

• Demonstrated learning agility, integrity, and sound judgment.

• Minimum age of 21 years.

• Valid driver's license in good standing from the state of residence.

• Acceptable driving risk level as determined by the Company.

• Must fulfill the Company’s Qualified Driver criteria to operate a company vehicle.
