Senior Test Automation Engineer, TS/JS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable automation frameworks utilizing Playwright and TypeScript.

• Create and implement automated tests that encompass both UI and API layers.

• Utilize AI-assisted tools to expedite the creation of test cases, automation development, code review, and defect analysis.

• Construct reusable automation components for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

• Integrate automated testing within Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

• Work in conjunction with developers and the scrum master to establish test strategies and quality objectives.

• Evaluate test results and report on defects, risks, quality trends, and coverage.

• Engage in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in QA/test automation.

• More than 2 years of hands-on experience with Playwright.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript.

• Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns.

• Proven track record of constructing automation frameworks from the ground up.

• Experience in UI and API test automation, including REST, JSON, and integration testing.

• Practical experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), covering work management, test planning, and pipeline integrations.

• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficient Git skills, including branching strategies.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and Claude, or a strong desire to learn and implement them.

• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge.

• Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and testing microservices/distributed systems is a plus.

• Experience in performance, accessibility, or security testing is an advantage.

• Background in Insurance, Reinsurance, or Financial Services is a plus.
