Senior Mobile QA Automation Engineer – Android, iOS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Development, execution, and maintenance of automated testing for Android and iOS applications using Java, Appium, Appium MCP Server, Android Studio, Xcode, and IntelliJ.

• Enhancing existing test automation frameworks, optimizing POM, abstractions, and test runners.

• Integrating automated tests into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines with Git-based version control.

• Developing and implementing AI-assisted testing workflows and MCP Server integrations.

• Analyzing test run failures, stabilizing flaky tests, and conducting root cause analysis.

• Executing functional, regression, and exploratory tests on real mobile devices across various operating system versions.

• Identifying issues between mobile applications and backend APIs, utilizing Jira for bug tracking.

• Collaborating with international development, QA, Product, and DevOps teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in QA / Test Automation.

• Strong programming skills in Java.

• Proficient experience with Appium for automated testing on Android and iOS.

• Knowledge of Appium MCP Server, MCP integrations, and AI/LLM-based testing solutions.

• Practical experience with Android Studio, Xcode, and IntelliJ.

• Experience in REST API testing, particularly using REST Assured.

• Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and Maven/Gradle.

• Understanding of test automation frameworks, POM, and test architectures.

• Experience with test management tools (Zephyr, TestRail, or similar).

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

• Experience in a banking or fintech environment is a plus.

• Knowledge of SQL and backend data validation is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Insomnia, Kibana, Splunk, SonarQube, or Confluence is a plus.

• Testing experience on emulators, simulators, and in device lab environments is a plus.

• Proficiency in Romanian is a plus.

• Experience working with subcontractors is advantageous.
