This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kenya.
• Oversee geospatial client projects from initial scope to final delivery, ensuring timelines, scope, and budget are adhered to
• Serve as the primary liaison for governments, donors, and development partners, mainly across Africa
• Facilitate workshops and undertake occasional travel to project locations
• Convert partner requirements into actionable workplans and technical specifications
• Guide the workstreams of Data Scientists, encompassing data collection, validation, and quality assurance processes
• Ensure that deliverables align with client expectations and are user-friendly for end-users
• Communicate project progress through comprehensive reports and presentations
• Collaborate with the business team to define project scopes and proposals
• Lead initiatives that support infrastructure planning within the energy, climate, health, and infrastructure sectors across 40+ countries
• Master's degree or equivalent experience in Geospatial Science, Data Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering technical projects for governments and donors
• Proven track record in managing client relationships
• Demonstrated leadership in multi-partner project environments
• Strong practical skills in GIS applications such as QGIS and/or ArcGIS
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL
• Knowledge of cloud workflows, including GCP and BigQuery
• AI-first perspective
• Entrepreneurial mindset and eagerness to develop new processes
• Intercultural communication abilities and capacity to manage competing priorities
• Professional fluency in English
• Professional working proficiency in French (C1) is highly advantageous but not mandatory
• Willingness to work remotely from Europe or Africa or from the Munich or Nairobi offices
• Occasional travel to project countries is expected
