Senior Technical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical authority for IBM Maximo, encompassing system architecture, configuration, integration, customization, data migration, deployment, and operations & maintenance.

• Assist in the development of interfaces to external systems.

• Design and set up business processes, workflows, escalations, and automation scripts.

• Evaluate business needs and convert them into Maximo configuration solutions.

• Configure applications, user interfaces, start centers, KPIs, queries, and dashboards.

• Aid in data migration, validation, and system integration tasks.

• Collaborate with technical developers on integrations utilizing MIF and REST APIs.

• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Diagnose configuration problems and conduct root cause analysis.

• Support system upgrades, patches, and deployment efforts.

• Engage in solution architecture design.

• Create configuration documentation, technical designs, and user manuals.

• Mentor junior configurators and offer technical guidance to project teams.

• Suggest ongoing improvements, best practices in Enterprise Asset Management, and innovative solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• US Citizenship with the capability to acquire a Public Trust.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in IBM Maximo implementation and configuration.

• Strong background in configuring Maximo 7.6.x and/or Maximo Application Suite (MAS).

• Ability to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.

• Proficient in Java, WebSphere, XML, PL SQL, Maximo automation scripts, and BIRT.

• Familiarity with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), integrations, and REST/JSON APIs.

• Experience in supporting complete software implementation lifecycles.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to interact directly with business stakeholders and executive leadership.

• Previous experience with federal contracts is preferred.

• IBM Maximo certifications are preferred.

• Experience with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) is preferred.

• Familiarity with Agile project delivery methodologies is preferred.

• Experience leading configuration workstreams or functional teams is preferred.

• Expertise in Red Hat OpenShift and cloud-native architectures is preferred.

• Experience with IBM WebSphere, Linux, and enterprise middleware platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks is preferred.

• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence, or similar tools, is preferred.
