Senior Systems Software Engineer – EDA Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, deploy, and manage infrastructure services while overseeing the software lifecycle to align with business objectives.

• Develop and sustain automation processes to reduce manual tasks and enhance output without increasing effort.

• Engage in establishing internal service level objectives and error budgets as part of the observability framework.

• Implement sustainable, blameless practices for incident prevention and response.

• Participate in an on-call rotation.

• Provide consultation to peer teams regarding best practices in systems design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding (such as physics or mathematics), or equivalent experience.

• Proficiency in coding with Python and/or Go.

• Capability to produce code independently without AI assistance during the interview process.

• Experience in infrastructure automation and designing distributed systems.

• Background in developing tools for managing large-scale private or public cloud systems in production.

• Extensive knowledge of Linux systems and containerization.

• Over 8 years of relevant professional experience.

• Familiarity with networking and storage technologies.

• Experience with Continuous Integration and/or workflow engines.

• Skilled in replicating or emulating complex production infrastructures into staging/test environments.

• Experience in working with or developing bare metal as a service (BMaaS) related systems.

• Knowledge of multi-cloud infrastructure services and private or public cloud systems utilizing Kubernetes, OpenStack, Docker, or Slurm.

• Experience with Nvidia GPU-based systems.
