Senior Systems Consultant – Business & Operational Resiliency

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Design, update, maintain, and test Business Continuity Management systems.

• Analyze requirements pertaining to systems, processes, and procedures.

• Manage software privileges and rights in accordance with policy while minimizing unnecessary risks.

• Establish and apply best practices along with innovative solutions for systems automation and compliance.

• Collaborate with staff and external partners to create processes that align with business objectives and compliance as well as mitigation goals.

• Generate documentation, implementation plans, and strategies for system adoption, monitoring, and management reporting.

• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot the BCM tool suite.

• Deliver technical and functional assistance to BCM tool users.

• Assist the BOR team and enterprise planning community in developing solutions for stakeholder needs.

• Design and enhance dashboards and reports for the BCM tool suite.

• Create flows within the tool suite to automate business processes and enhance data quality.

• Work collaboratively with the team on daily end-user support.

• Record and monitor system issues until resolution.

• Operate in an agile environment to adapt to evolving project requirements.

• Conduct upgrades and system maintenance.

• Streamline workflows for plan approvals, annual compliance, testing, and response activities.

• Assist with other technology-driven initiatives throughout the customer team.

• Maintain communication with vendors and suppliers of business continuity management tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience with Business Continuity Management plan tools is preferred but not mandatory.

• Proficient in using BCM tools, including administrative, configuration, dashboard, and reporting skills.

• Knowledge of object-oriented concepts and the fundamentals of logic (IFs, ANDs, and ORs).

• Experience in creating custom reports and determining key metrics for measurement.

• Familiarity with analyzing data required to construct dashboards and reports.

• Strong critical thinking abilities.

• Skills in project management and task organization.

• Exceptional end-user support capabilities.

• Clear communication skills in writing, speaking, and listening.

• Ability to collaborate across different functions to grasp business requirements and effectively translate them into application usage.

• Confidence in promoting best practices.

• High levels of resilience and accountability.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Typically, at least 7 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years in system development and support.

• Previous experience as a system administrator with BCM planning tools is essential.
