Senior Systems Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee, sustain, and enhance client infrastructure encompassing servers, networks, Azure, Microsoft 365, and security solutions.

• Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to completion, including migrations, deployments, upgrades, and transitions to the cloud.

• Apply and uphold security frameworks such as CMMC, NIST, and other compliance standards across client environments.

• Resolve escalated Level 3 technical issues and provide mentorship to junior engineers.

• Create and update documentation for client systems, policies, and procedures.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely and within-scope delivery of solutions.

• Monitor system performance and proactively tackle vulnerabilities, outages, and compliance deficiencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Systems Administrator in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) setting is preferred.

• Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy.

• Proficient in virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.

• Experience with cloud services, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune.

• Familiarity with firewalls, networking, and endpoint security solutions.

• Practical experience with compliance and security frameworks like CMMC, NIST, HIPAA, or SOC 2.

• Demonstrated success in delivering IT projects effectively.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Strong communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Relevant certifications are preferred, including CompTIA Security+, Microsoft certifications, CISSP, CISM, or credentials related to CMMC.
