Senior System Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer guidance and support to System Specialists

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for special projects, including testing new tools and processes

• Advocate for industry best practices and advise clients

• Oversee the training and technical development of fellow System Specialists

• Design system solutions for complex client needs

• Troubleshoot intricate system problems and conduct root cause analysis

• Evaluate the configuration of client websites, benefit classes, plans, rates, enrollment rules, and changes in benefit plan designs during Open Enrollment and Life Events

• Assess inbound HRIS import data element mapping and associated rules

• Review outbound payroll file mapping and payroll schedules

• Facilitate integration and testing with EDI teams, insurance carriers, TPAs, and HRIS/payroll systems

• Conduct data analysis and audits from diverse sources

• Keep documentation of client-specific setups and processes up-to-date

• Educate and transition new processes to client teams

• Engage and communicate effectively with management and clients

• Integrate My Benefit Express™ with client systems, including data migration and assessing system compatibility

• Refine integration strategies to enhance efficiency

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline

• 3-5 years of experience in system configuration

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly with advanced Excel skills, including formulas like VLOOKUPs

• Capability to collect and analyze complex data requirements while working with data in relational databases

• Proficient in reading and writing advanced SQL

• Familiarity with essential web technologies as utilized by Wex

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

• Skillful in analyzing client requirements and documentation

• Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
