Senior Sustainability Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assist clients in formulating and comprehending sustainability and decarbonization needs.

• Create, execute, and evaluate comprehensive carbon reduction strategies utilizing frameworks such as GLA, LETI, RIBA, RICS, and BREEAM.

• Collaborate with clients and designers to devise and apply sustainability and decarbonization strategies from the initial design phase through construction.

• Provide assessment certification services, including BREEAM and DREAM.

• Conduct sustainability appraisals such as SAW and SEEAM.

• Aid in project management and scheduling.

• Contribute to business development through bidding processes and tender submissions.

• Mentor junior team members when appropriate.

• Deliver Sustainability & Carbon services for clients in both the public and private sectors, including healthcare, education, commercial, Defence, and National Security domains.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong understanding of the building design and construction processes.

• Experience conducting whole life carbon assessments using OneClick LCA.

• Familiarity with certification assessment schemes, particularly BREEAM and DREAM.

• Background in sustainability appraisals.

• LEED and/or WELL experience is a plus.

• Excellent numerical and analytical abilities.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Keen attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

• Capability to manage a diverse workload across several projects.

• Proven experience in sustainable buildings, low-carbon design, and environmental performance.

• Awareness of broader sustainability challenges and project mitigation strategies.

• Knowledge of current and forthcoming sustainability and decarbonization policies and best practices.

• Openness to working on Defence and National Security projects.

• Active UK SC Clearance or the ability to obtain UK SC Clearance.

• Ideally, possess a single UK nationality.
