Senior Sustainability Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Assist clients in identifying and comprehending their sustainability and decarbonisation needs.

• Create, implement, and evaluate comprehensive carbon reduction strategies utilizing frameworks such as GLA, LETI, RIBA, RICS, and BREEAM.

• Collaborate with clients and designers to formulate sustainability and decarbonisation strategies from the initial design phase through to construction.

• Execute assessment certification programs including BREEAM and DREAM.

• Conduct sustainability evaluations such as SAW and SEEAM.

• Aid in project management and scheduling.

• Contribute to business development through bidding activities and tender submissions.

• Provide mentorship to junior team members when applicable.

• Offer Sustainability and Carbon services to both public and private sector clients in healthcare, education, commercial, as well as UK Defence and National Security fields.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid understanding of the building design and construction processes.

• Experience performing Whole Life Cycle Assessments (WLCAs) using OneClick LCA.

• Familiarity with certification assessment schemes, particularly BREEAM and DREAM.

• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.

• Capability to analyze data and implement practical sustainability solutions.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving.

• Ability to handle diverse workloads across various projects.

• Proven experience in sustainable buildings, low-carbon design, and environmental performance.

• Awareness of broader sustainability challenges and mitigation strategies.

• Knowledge of current and forthcoming policies and best practice guidance on sustainability and decarbonisation.

• Willingness to engage in Defence and National Security projects.

• Possession of active UK SC Clearance or the capability to obtain it.

• Preference for candidates with single UK nationality.

• Experience with LEED and/or WELL is considered a plus.
