Senior Supply Chain Specialist – Field Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Execute supply chain and logistics tasks, which encompass material procurement, production planning, inventory management, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution.

• Develop integrated processes that connect internal functions with external suppliers.

• Oversee and accelerate the flow of goods, resources, and information to guarantee that essential supply chain processes operate efficiently and meet organizational objectives and KPIs.

• Collaborate with procurement, production, inventory management, distribution, transportation, and other departments to enhance the supply chain.

• Detect bottlenecks or issues and escalate or suggest solutions as necessary.

• Partner with suppliers to address and resolve problems.

• Assist in the negotiation of contracts or service agreements.

• Monitor suppliers for adherence to schedules and product standards.

• Identify and implement supplier priorities for product delivery and corrective actions.

• Work with suppliers on schedule delays, contractual non-compliance, and recovery strategies.

• Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders to provide updates, align requirements, and resolve issues.

• Conduct on-site assessments of suppliers' capacity, capability, and readiness.

• Suggest and facilitate process enhancements to improve efficiency, supplier performance, and delivery results.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's Degree and 5-7 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

• Understanding of contract compliance.

• Familiarity with data analysis.

• Knowledge of supply chain optimization techniques.

• Proficiency in supply chain planning.

• Awareness of compliance monitoring practices.

• Experience with supply chain planning software.

• Familiarity with general data analysis software.

• Ability to remain stationary at a desk and/or computer for prolonged periods.

• Regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities is required.

• Anticipate more than 50% travel.
