This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• Develop and oversee the execution of materials strategies for the designated global business unit.
• Provide leadership and strategic guidance to factory workcells involved in manufacturing for the business unit.
• Recruit and manage the global materials team.
• Identify developmental needs, create or validate training programs, and mentor team members.
• Set performance objectives, offer feedback, conduct evaluations, and promote continuous improvement.
• Analyze customer requirements and align materials strategies with Jabil’s organizational objectives.
• Educate factory workcells and advocate for the implementation of materials strategies.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and develop tools for cost analysis.
• Participate in monthly forecasting cycles.
• Implement planning and inventory strategies and systems.
• Manage customer demand, master production schedules, product launches, and site transfer plans.
• Ensure continuity of product and finished goods supply during transfers.
• Manage residual and excess/obsolete inventory effectively.
• Generate and review inventory reports.
• Oversee materials quotation cycles and assist with RFQs.
• Qualify alternative and localized suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, inventory programs, cancellation terms, return privileges, and demand communications.
• Recommend pricing for component-level customer BOMs and secure commodity and sourcing control.
• Represent Jabil’s materials team during customer meetings, audits, presentations, and conference calls.
• Address and escalate customer issues while prioritizing customer expectations.
• High School Diploma and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in electronics manufacturing and materials management required.
• Proven experience in negotiation, cost reduction initiatives, and materials planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Materials Logistics Management, or a related field preferred.
• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as required.
