This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, oversee, and manage STR's strategic sourcing initiatives and category strategies.
• Analyze spending, demand, and market trends to uncover opportunities for savings, consolidation, and risk mitigation.
• Create multi-year sourcing roadmaps and prioritize various initiatives.
• Establish and lead the Supplier Management & Relationship program.
• Manage relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers effectively.
• Implement supplier performance management strategies, including scorecards, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify supplier risks and formulate mitigation plans accordingly.
• Lead comprehensive sourcing events, covering requirements gathering, bid evaluation, and award recommendations.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, service levels, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to structure and finalize supplier agreements.
• Anticipate business requirements and develop supplier strategies that support growth and enhance program performance.
• Utilize purchasing and ERP systems effectively.
• Employ AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency, quality, and effectiveness in Contracts and Supply Chain processes.
• Promote the adoption of sourcing best practices, methodologies, and procurement policies.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Propose and assist in implementing process improvements.
• Bachelor's degree and over 7 years of experience in Federal government contracting, specifically with DoD and IC contracts, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or team lead position (or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience).
• Ability to secure and maintain a Government Security Clearance; US Citizenship is mandated by the US Government.
• Demonstrated experience in leading supply chain teams, supplier negotiations, and managing supplier relationships.
• Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations.
• Capability to operate both strategically and transactionally.
• Willingness to expand expertise into Contracts.
• Cross-functional experience in Program Management, Finance, Engineering, and Operations.
• Ability to evaluate and communicate supplier risk, translating complex terms for business stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation abilities.
• Experience in people management, including hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing teams.
• Proven leadership and process improvement experience.
• Proficient in MS Office and contract management systems.
