Senior Supply Chain Analyst – Operational Design & Strategy

📋 Description

• Identify and document opportunities for enhancing productivity, quality, and cost through data analysis, process evaluation, and the adoption of technology.

• Assist in the design and implementation of innovative supply chain systems throughout a regional network of distribution centers.

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to spearhead transformative initiatives.

• Identify and propose value-added new technologies, assess their benefits, and recommend plans for their adoption.

• Promote operational and continuous improvement while optimizing both existing and future processes within distribution centers.

• Generate actionable insights for data cleanup, process enhancement, compliance, improved technology utilization, and the adoption of new technologies.

• Collect and analyze operational and supply chain data; pinpoint anomalies, root causes, and formulate action plans.

• Facilitate technology usage and adoption by means of data analysis, process observation, and user feedback.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams and external consultants on technology transformation projects.

• Provide training and resolve issues for both internal and external clients.

• Develop decision-support tools and financial models to evaluate the cost/benefit trade-offs of technology solutions.

• Partner with distribution center personnel, management, senior leadership, and consultants on system design, implementation, and sustainability efforts.

• Document business requirements, functional and system designs, processes, and procedures.

• Conduct data management through mining, modeling, analysis, and/or problem-solving.

• Troubleshoot intricate problems and make decisions amidst uncertainty.

• May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, which includes planning, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, reviewing accuracy, and evaluating outcomes.

• Contribute to the professional development of employees without the authority to hire or fire.

• Travel overnight approximately 20% to 50% of the time.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of Georgia, Texas, New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, Washington, or Pennsylvania.

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, warehouse operations, operational design, or a related field.

• Proven experience in supporting operational design for distribution centers, warehouse layouts, and supply chain optimization projects.

• Familiarity with warehouse operations, material handling systems, automation, storage solutions, racking, conveyors, inventory systems, and facility design.

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS); SAP experience is preferred.

• Intermediate proficiency in 2D AutoCAD.

• Experience in creating or maintaining warehouse location data and layouts.

• Experience in managing vendor relationships, permitting, scheduling, cost negotiations, and project coordination.

• Knowledge of hazmat storage, high-pile storage, racking calculations, and construction permitting requirements.

• Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to work autonomously and support cross-functional project execution, including onsite implementation.

• Position necessitates 75% travel.

• Generally requires a BS/BA in a related field along with 5-8 years of experience in a relevant area, OR an MS/MA with 3-5 years of experience in a related field.

• Certification is required in certain areas.
