Senior Subrogation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations and evaluations of insurance claims to establish liability and potential for subrogation.

• Examine policy language, contracts, and applicable laws to evaluate subrogation rights and opportunities for recovery.

• Work collaboratively with policyholders, legal experts, other insurance providers, and internal parties to collect necessary information and documentation.

• Analyze reports, photographs, statements, and additional evidence to create thorough subrogation cases.

• Facilitate negotiations for settlements and ensure resolutions are fair and timely.

• Keep precise records of claim activities, communications, and recovery efforts.

• Utilize claims management systems and software to document and monitor progress.

• Remain informed about industry trends, regulations, and legal changes.

• Contribute to the development of strategies and best practices aimed at enhancing subrogation results and operational efficiency.

• Deliver customer support to policyholders and stakeholders throughout the subrogation process.

• Collaborate with various internal departments.

• Manage special projects and specific subrogation assignments.

• Handle complex files, including those involving over $15k paid out.

• Provide prompt and accurate updates to clients through both written and verbal communication.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience is advantageous.

• Previous experience in subrogation, insurance claims, or a related area is necessary.

• Strong understanding of insurance policies, contracts, and pertinent legal regulations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational abilities.

• Proficient in claims management software as well as the Microsoft Office suite.

• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
