This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.
• Manage a portfolio of intricate, high-value subcontracts independently from acquisition planning to closeout.
• Act as the primary business advisor for subcontracting to program and task order teams.
• Oversee the complete subcontract lifecycle, encompassing planning, competition, negotiation, award, administration, modification, and closeout.
• Formulate acquisition strategies and convert technical requirements into actionable procurement packages.
• Conduct and document market research to identify viable sources and evaluate competition, eligibility, and responsibility.
• Assist in the make-or-buy analysis, commerciality assessments, and single- or sole-source determinations.
• Manage solicitations and oversee source selection processes.
• Execute cost and price analysis while leading negotiations within the granted authority.
• Document business decisions and establish suitable subcontracting arrangements.
• Ensure readiness for award and maintain contractual control.
• Administer changes and monitor the performance of subcontractors.
• Address performance and payment issues while fostering supplier relationships.
• Complete formal closeout processes.
• Interpret and apply FAR/DFARS regulations, prime contract flowdowns, company policies, delegated authority, and acquisition strategies.
• Maintain procurement files that are ready for CPSR and audits.
• Safeguard sensitive information and assist with reviews and corrective actions.
• Enhance subcontract execution and processes.
• Utilize independent judgment and escalate issues to management, legal, compliance, or customers when necessary.
• Handle multiple high-priority tasks under tight deadlines.
• Communicate contractual risks and translate technical or program requirements into enforceable subcontract terms.
• Collaborate effectively in a matrixed program environment.
• A minimum of 10 years of general full-time work experience; this may be reduced with advanced education.
• At least 5 years of directly relevant experience in government contracting.
• A minimum of 2 years in a senior-level subcontracts administration role or a comparable position.
• Recent subcontract experience with FAR/DFARS regulations.
• Proficient understanding of IDIQ, CPIF, T&M, and firm-fixed-price contract types.
• Ability to execute and interpret federal regulations within contracts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.

• Specific experience as a Subcontract Administrator is necessary; candidates with only COR or contract administration duties do not meet the minimum qualifications.
