Senior Structural Bridge Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Oversee bridge engineering projects mainly based in Minnesota, with the possibility of extending support to projects in other states.

• Manage both state and local bridge projects, encompassing scope, schedule, budget, staffing coordination, client communication, and project delivery.

• Direct the execution of projects that range from standard grade separations to intricate highway interchanges and river crossings.

• Supervise projects that include prestressed concrete, cast-in-place concrete, steel girder, curved steel girder, and truss bridges.

• Ensure project oversight and quality control for bridge engineering deliverables.

• Collaborate with clients, subconsultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.

• Engage in business development, client outreach, project pursuits, proposal preparation, and interview assistance.

• Contribute to structures group initiatives aimed at quality improvement, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.

• Licensed Professional Engineer in Minnesota.

• Proven experience in managing bridge engineering projects, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, resource coordination, and client communication.

• Experience in delivering bridge projects for state Departments of Transportation, counties, municipalities, or other public-sector transportation clients.

• Background in developing proposals, negotiating scope and fees, and securing bridge engineering contracts.

• Knowledge of AASHTO codes and design standards for new and replacement bridge structures.

• Familiarity with the Minnesota Department of Transportation LRFD Bridge Design Manual.

• At least 15 years of Civil Engineering experience in structural bridge design or management.

• Proficient in structural design and analysis software systems such as RISA, STAAD Pro, Bentley OpenRoads & OpenBridge, AASHTOWare BrR, Mathcad, and Excel Spreadsheets.

• Willingness to travel as necessary for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site observations/visits.

• Capable of walking and climbing over rough construction terrain and carrying up to 20 pounds.

• Must have authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
