Senior Staff Security Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a security architect for deployments of applications and infrastructure on AWS and Azure.

• Perform security architecture evaluations and risk assessments within the governance framework of enterprise architecture.

• Create target system architectures that adhere to secure-by-design principles and recognized security best practices.

• Establish secure-by-design architectures for AI applications and agents, encompassing identity, data access, model and tool integration, runtime controls, and human oversight.

• Execute security evaluations for generative AI solutions, agentic workflows, and underlying platforms in both cloud and on-premise settings.

• Write and disseminate risk assessment reports that detail cyber risks and the corresponding mitigating controls.

• Publish reusable solution patterns to enhance clarity, consistency, and alignment across various designs.

• Create security-related documentation, such as policies, standards, and best practices.

• Develop reusable security patterns and risk guidance specifically for AI applications and agents.

• Investigate emerging technologies, industry advancements, and market trends to facilitate enterprise project delivery and operations.

• Function as a technical leader within the discipline by remaining informed about industry technology and security developments.

• Cultivate peer, cross-functional, and cross-business relationships to exchange best practices and enhance team effectiveness.

• Influence the function and the business while collaborating as a member of the larger security architecture team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise IT and/or cybersecurity.

• At least 3 years of experience focusing on cybersecurity architecture.

• Proficiency in designing secure solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

• Familiarity with threat modeling, multi-tier web applications, and relevant security standards.

• Experience in evaluating and securing AI and generative AI applications, including large language model integrations, retrieval-augmented generation, APIs, and agentic systems.

• Understanding of AI security risks and controls, such as prompt injection, sensitive data exposure, insecure tool usage, excessive agency, model and dependency risks, and AI agent identity and access governance.

• Possession of an industry-recognized security certification such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security, or Azure Security certification.

• Experience collaborating with solution architects to create secure systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to work independently as well as within a team setting.

• Ability to influence, build consensus, and align stakeholders across Digital Technology teams and leadership.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Comfort in navigating new areas that require quick learning, sound judgment, and ongoing improvement.

• Ability to synthesize input from various stakeholders and convert complex business and technical requirements into actionable security guidance.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
