This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create sophisticated ML models and autonomous workflows that enable teams to design, train, assess, and enhance them.
• Leverage Claude, Cursor, and similar AI-driven development tools to explore model performance, formulate and evaluate hypotheses, automate repetitive analyses, and refine code and experiments.
• Establish dependable processes for data and label examination, feature and embedding creation, architecture comparison, hyperparameter tuning, error analysis, and experiment reporting.
• Develop evaluation frameworks that assess model results and workflow quality, encompassing correctness, reproducibility, regressions, cost, and latency.
• Collaborate with product, data science, ML infrastructure, and engineering teams to align modeling enhancements with user and business outcomes.
• Define technical direction across teams, mentor engineers, and elevate standards for modeling excellence and AI-assisted engineering.
• Over 9 years of experience in ML engineering, applied ML, or a related discipline, with significant production impact.
• Senior Staff-level technical leadership with a proven track record of influencing team direction.
• In-depth modeling knowledge and strong foundational skills in data, objectives, architectures, optimization, evaluation, and experimentation.
• Specific instances of employing agentic AI or AI coding tools to achieve superior ML results—not merely faster code generation.
• Capability to design safeguards and evaluations that ensure the trustworthiness of autonomous or semi-autonomous workflows.
• Proficient coding skills in Python and adeptness with contemporary ML frameworks and data tools.
• Clear and concise communication skills, along with a collaborative, low-ego approach to technical leadership.
