Senior ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the design and execution of production-quality ML systems and workflows.

• Facilitate the transition of models from research and development to scalable production services.

• Create and develop robust training, inference, evaluation, and deployment pipelines.

• Integrate ML models into APIs, backend services, applications, and essential product workflows.

• Enhance ML systems for latency, throughput, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Set engineering standards for model versioning, testing, observability, and deployment.

• Work closely with domain experts, data scientists, and cross-functional teams.

• Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks across the ML application stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with a solid foundation in software engineering.

• Strong industry and domain expertise in life sciences, biotech, or scientific datasets.

• Advanced skills in Python and contemporary ML/software engineering methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience in deploying, scaling, and managing ML models in production settings.

• Profound knowledge of model inference, system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native workflows.

• A strong collaborative spirit, excellent problem-solving skills, and a positive, proactive demeanor.

• Fluency in English is essential, as the role requires daily communication with U.S.-based stakeholders.

• Candidates must be located in the United States, with preference for those able to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN or travel to Indianapolis periodically.
